Thornton's Painting We're a family owned business. He was tired of the 60 mile drive everyday to work in Saginaw and decided to start a business of his own locally.

Painting Contractor, interior and exterior painting, wallpapering, faux finishing, drywall repair, handyman repairs, power washing, refinishing, sign work, murals and more! My dad Don Thornton started the business in 1986 after working for 18+ years as a painter for Adam Meyers Painting in Saginaw,mostly hanging wallpaper. Along with his wife Karen Thornton as the book keeper they pushed forward t

o make his name known in the area. The first year was tough but after word of mouth got around he was able to keep painting and wallpapering among other things up till today. He needed more help and I (Scott) needed a better job and was hired in 1989. For the next several years I worked under his careful guidance and learned what he knew. Through the years there were many guys that worked as a painter along with us. Larry Bidigare III and Kevin Evensen just to name a few that added to our quality of workmanship through the years. Sadly in 2011 Don passed away of cancer. Today his legacy continues though his son Scott and niece, Artist and painter Kelli Hundey with their mother at age 70 still answering the home number (989.588.2127) and handling the books to keep is vision alive.
