I practice succession planting of njama njama to ensure a continuous supply of healthy seedlings throughout the growing season. I nurse a new set of seeds about every 3 weeks from early Spring when the ground is thawed and warm and 2 or 3 more times in the summer.
This reduces the timing between harvests, because you stagger when the seedlings are planted. By the time one set is ready for harvest, the other set of seedlings will be ready for transplant.
Succession planting is a smart way to maximize your harvest.

I just transplanted African basil (scent leaf or clove basil or masepo). I started these from seed indoors in March.

It is a highly aromatic herb celebrated for its medicinal and culinary properties.
It is rich in vitamins (A, C, K) and antioxidants, offering strong anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and digestive benefits. It is commonly used to soothe gut issues, lower stress, and repel insects.
Also commonly used in West African cuisine.

Digestive benefits: Packed with essential oils like camphor and linalool, the herb helps calm bloating, gas, indigestion, and stomach cramping.

Inflammatory benefits: It contains eugenol, an active compound recognized for combating chronic inflammation and relieving minor aches.

Stress Reduction benefits: Often consumed as a tea, it acts as a mild tonic to reduce nervous tension and promote mental calm.

Thinking out of the box. I used laundry baskets to protect my cabbage plants from deer, rabbits etc.
I got the baskets from the dollar store. This set up allows me the flexibility to rotate where I plant, without needing to put up a fence each year.
What do you think about this set up?

Cabbage has been planted. I planted next to chives and onions to help with pest control. I plan to also get a cover cloth to reduce damage from the white butterfly caterpillar. And add marigolds around this bed to help deter deer and rabbits.
