CASE FILE #003: THE INSIDE JOB

The shingles looked fine from the street.

Case #001: The Disappearing Shingle.

Here's something you probably never look at until there's a stain on the ceiling, the top of your own roof!

Shingles don't fail all at once. They wear from the top down: the granules (that gritty top layer) slowly wash off, the mat underneath gets exposed, and from there the sun and water do the rest.
