Whole building remodel project...
Making progress, unit 4 floor overlay is just about done, i started hanging drywall in the common area and in units 2,3&4 along with starting to prepare the existing plaster walls for repairs too. I will continue on Monday . Hope you have a great weekend.

This was a band-aid nightmare with mold and poorly done shower in just a couple days I now have it 100% mold free, leaking free, fured out and new framing added for the new tub/shower, and insolation and drywall done for the fire rated back wall. Next week the plumber will be back to install the tub/shower. Not pictured i also got all the dog p*e soaked carpet out and cracked up laminate floors removed too. Next week I'll be laying down a leveling layer of plywood subfloor. Once that is done ill officially be moving on to new drywall and Plaster repairs throughout 3 of the 4 units along with the common areas. But before I get back here I have another tub/shower installed west Fargo that I need to get done first because it's an occupied unit.

Ripped out another band-aid shower job today, this one needs to dry for a few days before I get back to it on Monday

One last bathroom to rip out here at the big whole building project. This shower is the best example of a band-aid job. Looks pretty good at first glance but start digging into it and you'll find lots of problems and potential opportunities for water to eventually get into the wall cavities where we don't want water. There's some mold in there but it's very manageable. In the couple days ill have this down to the studs on the 3 walls that need mold remediation and ill properly prepare the framing for a new tub/shower to be be installed next week.

This shower is exactly why I get upset with many on their method of demo,hanging and taping in the shower because this is one one of the very critical spots in our homes where products and procedures matter in a long lasting completed result that not only looks nice it can stand the test of time.
