Exciting progress at Tavata, located in Portland's East End!🏗️

Construction is gaining momentum at 165 Washington Avenue, with foundation concrete pours and structural steel er****on underway. The first steel column was set on October 7, marking a major milestone as the project moves into its next phase. The crane will be a mainstay on site over the next several months as this 325-unit development continues to rise.

We’d also like to recognize the quality work being done by our dedicated trade partners, including Chase EX on sitework, N S Giles Foundations Inc, and Arc Erecting on structural steel, as we work together to maintain safe, steady progress on site.

Check out the latest drone and on-site footage for a closer look at the progress and the teams making it happen! We look forward to sharing more updates as construction continues.

October is Employee Ownership Month, and we're proud to celebrate the people and culture that make PGC what it is.

PGC was recognized again this year as one of Maine's Best Places to Work, continuing a tradition that reflects the strong team, shared values, and supportive environment we've built together.

As a 100% employee-owned company, our people have a personal stake in PGC's success. That ownership goes beyond a financial benefit. It means taking pride in our work, supporting one another, stepping up to solve challenges, and holding ourselves accountable for the results.

From our offices to our jobsites, it's that sense of teamwork, responsibility, and shared purpose that continues to drive PGC forward.

This month, we're celebrating the employee-owners who make PGC a great place to work and a great company to build with!

PGC is pleased to welcome George Hughes to the team as Environmental Health & Safety Manager, supporting the Central Utility Plant (CUP) scope of a major data center project in Central Texas.

His role is part of PGC’s continued support of the data center sector and the broader growth of our Industrial & Manufacturing work. As these projects become larger and more technically demanding, PGC is continuing to build the experience, relationships and capabilities needed to support clients in this rapidly evolving market.

A major milestone at Choice DeWitt in downtown Lewiston. 🏗️

We’ve officially received the Certificate of Occupancy for 175 Bates Street, the first building to reach completion at Choice DeWitt in downtown Lewiston ahead of schedule.

The full project includes two five-story buildings totaling more than 116,000 square feet, with 104 mixed-income apartments and approximately 14,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. It represents a significant investment in housing and the continued revitalization of downtown Lewiston.

Milestones like this take a lot of people pulling in the same direction. A huge thank you to our PGC project team, talented trade partners, Avesta Housing, Lewiston Housing, Acorn Engineering and Kaplan Thompson Architects for the hard work, coordination and collaboration that got us here.

There’s still more work ahead at Choice DeWitt, but completing the first building ahead of schedule is a milestone we’re proud to recognize.

Yesterday, we celebrated the official groundbreaking of The Lupine, a new 183-unit apartment community in Topsham, alongside project partners, local leaders, neighbors and community members.

Nearly three years in the making, the project reflects a tremendous amount of planning, partnership and persistence.

The remarks throughout the morning reflected a shared theme: Maine needs more housing across a range of types and price points, and projects like The Lupine are an important part of meeting that need. With 183 new homes and a mix of affordability, the project will add meaningful housing supply to the Midcoast region.

We’re especially proud to be partnering again with Solhem Companies, Holman Homes, LJB Engineering (formerly Gorrill Palmer) and Momentum Design Group for a second project in the area and to continue the successful partnership on The Lupine.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to mark the occasion. We’re excited to keep the momentum going as we build this new community and do our part to help meet Maine’s housing needs.

A little wet weather isn’t slowing us down in Oxford! 🌧️

Just over six months into construction, Hancock Lumber Company new manufacturing facility is nearing occupancy, with permanent power turned on Monday marking another major milestone for the project.

We’re excited to be in the final stretch for a valued repeat client and nearing handover of a facility that will expand Hancock Lumber’s production capabilities and support continued growth and innovation in prefabricated wood construction across the region.

The pace of progress over the past six months speaks to the strong collaboration and hard work of everyone involved. We can’t wait to see this building put to work!
