Completed paving the Hayden Blvd extension road past Menards.
Laurita Excavating performed the site prep and utilities.
Asphalt from Greer Asphalt.
Naturally, we completed the asphalt install.
4.5” base 1 asphalt.
2.5” base 2 asphalt.
1.5” wearing course.
Additionally, we had to tack the face of the concrete gutter and curb to help seal against water pe*******on.
Thanks to CK Services for applying road markings and thermo plastic.
Thanks to Chip Pletcher and Cat Rentals for getting us the proper compaction equipment on time.

Spent a couple days prepping this lot for paving.
Milling transitions and cleaning dirt off the lot.
Corrected some water flow problems so ponding doesn’t occur. That will be super helpful during the winter to prevent ice from forming.
Applied two layers of asphalt over the lot. The first being a thin leveling course of asphalt to fill in low spots and correct irregularities. The second being an 1.5” compacted wearing course.
Getting caught in the rain was challenging too.
We finished the job off with nice new lines, applied by Kyle Holcomb at CK Services. Make sure to check them out for sealcoating, striping and crack filling needs.

Not every job is a large job but important just the same.
The customer had a soft base in their entrance, that resulted in the asphalt breaking up and forming potholes.
We excavated down 18”, compacted the sub-base material, installed overlapping lengths of fabric, filled back with 12” of 3” stone, and choked that off with crusher run.
Lastly we installed a 3” layer of base 2 asphalt, tack, and finished it off with an 1.5” of wearing course asphalt.
We appreciate Valley Healthcare for allowing us the opportunity to serve their needs.

My men finished off the week by completing a small mill and pave project at Rivesville Baptist Church. The water wasn’t draining off the parking lot properly, and formed sheets of ice during the winter. The ice formation started causing damage to the asphalt.

Completed Fair Oaks Estates this week. Due to rainy weather, this has taken over a month to finalize.
We started by milling an 1.5” off the surface. This removed the undulations and gave us a smoother surface to pave off of. The second benefit of milling allowed us to lower the elevation and tie into each driveway at the proper level.
Once cleaning was complete, we applied a tack coat on the milled surface to assist in bonding of the new asphalt.
Many residences had curbs installed to keep water off their properties. Milling removed all the curbs. After paving was complete, and put all the curbs back for anyone who requested it.

Very productive day at Trinity Assembly of God located at South Fairmont.
Spent a full day milling transitions, and sweeping.
Another day laying down a leveling course of asphalt.
Then a long day installing the finished wearing course.
Very proud of my men for their attention to detail and commitment doing the very best they can do each day. Makes working with them fun.
As always, Kyle at CK Services did an outstanding job with the line layout and striping.

Last week started off well at Gore Elementary. With the help of Donegal Construction, we milled off the existing surface of asphalt in the back parking lot.
Next, we applied a light coating of tack, then a leveling course of wearing asphalt to cover over any imperfections.
We then went back over a second time with the finished course of wearing asphalt.
Kyle Holcomb from CK Services polished it off with some real nice looking lines.
The exact steps were repeated on the front lot.
We wrapped up the week filling trench cuts and excavation areas around the newly installed sidewalk.

Completed our job in Doddridge County at the new Early Learning Academy. Cove Run did a fantastic job grading and preparing the site for us to pave. We spent the last couple weeks installing 2-2” lifts of compacted base 2 asphalt, and 1 lift of 1.5” compacted wearing course asphalt.
Continued thanks to Susanna Samms with Doggo Media for the before and after overhead shots. Also to Kyle Holcomb with CK Services for painting all the lines and parking stop installs.

Productive day at Sabraton Station. We swept, tacked, filled potholes and severe low spots, with a leveling course of wearing 1 asphalt, and finished with a compacted overlay of 1.5” asphalt. Polce Sealcoating did a great job putting the finishing touches painting all the lines and symbols.

Started early today at Grove Park Apartments in Morgantown. The owner has been waiting patiently since last year for us to arrive. Put down 3” of compacted base 2 asphalt on the unpaved sections of the road and parking areas. We’ll spend tomorrow milling transitions and preparing to start overlaying the development on Friday.
