Meet West Jones, Owner of Grinder Pump Gurus! 👋
West has been in the plumbing industry for 31 years. He got his start in 1995 when his brother-in-law offered him his first plumbing job with Amore Plumbing Co. in Pace, Florida. Or, according to West, maybe it all started with playing Super Mario and deciding plumbing looked pretty cool. 😂All jokes aside, West has spent more than three decades building his career around dependable service, quick response times, and doing the job right. What he enjoys most is helping people and making sure customers feel informed, not left guessing.
That is a big part of what Grinder Pump Gurus is built on. West believes in being honest with customers and educating them on how to properly care for their systems so their grinder pumps can last as long as they should.
His biggest advice for homeowners?
“It’s a toilet, not a trash can.”
West is also a fifth-generation Baldwin County local, with family roots in the area dating back to around 1900. He says one of the best parts of the job is getting to work in one of the most beautiful places in the world and serve the community he calls home.
Outside of work, West stays busy with Jiu-Jitsu, working out, scuba diving, fishing, hunting, building things, spending time with family and friends, and serving at Church of the Highlands.
A few more West facts: his favorite local spots are Rayza’s in Daphne and Dragonfly in Fairhope, his go-to breakfast is a Bluephoria and a banana, and he somehow considers himself both an early bird and a night owl while only sleeping about five hours a night. 😂
If plumbing had not been the path, oceanography might have been!
