For the past month, our team has been fully committed to a major project up in Waltham, our biggest project to date. While we’re proud of the work we’re doing there, it has required more of our resources and attention than anticipated, which has unfortunately impacted our ability to respond to new scheduling requests as quickly as we normally would.

Please know that this is not the level of service we pride ourselves on. We are actively working and are very close to wrapping up this project. We are excited to get back to our normal scheduling cadence so we can serve you better.

We're seeking another proven, experienced Crew Leader to join our team of arborists. This is not an entry-level or training position—we need someone who can hit the ground running, lead crews safely and efficiently on residential and commercial jobs, and maintain our high standards for quality tree care.

Key Requirements:

Extensive hands-on experience in professional tree care (minimum 5+ years preferred)
Proven ability to lead a crew as foreman/crew leader (supervising 2–4 person teams on pruning, removals, rigging, storm cleanup, etc.)
Strong knowledge of safe tree climbing, rigging, chainsaw operation, aerial lift/bucket truck use, and OSHA/ANSI Z133 safety standards
ISA Certified Arborist or equivalent certification a major plus (but not required if experience is exceptional)
Valid driver's license with clean record (CDL not required)
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to manage job sites, equipment, and customer interactions professionally

Our Home and Yard Defensive division is officially complete with its own dedicated truck and water source!

Apex's most popular service is our tick and mosquito applications. We offer both organic and kill on contact applications. Our recurring service comes with automated notifications to notify you of scheduling, a click to reschedule button and click to pay, with no contract! Estimates can be easily done via text/call for this service.

As a tree care company we are also offering fungicide treatments, invasive insect treatments with topical and systemic applications. Gone are the days where a tree gets cut down for being diseased, impacted by insects, or struggling. Our arborists can identify, diagnose and treat your tree for many different issues. Hi there!

As we approach the end of the year I wanted to reach out and thank you for your business. This year has been extraordinarily challenging for the business and myself. However, I recognize that you too, experience your own challenges in life that may be even greater than my own. That is why I want extend my gratitude for your business and the opportunity to meet and work with you. I have had the opportunity to learn a little bit about every customer I work with. I get a small glimpse into their world and it amazes me some of the things that people are going through and/or have accomplished in their life. To put it simply, I am truly humbled. The courage you hold to walk this planet amongst absolute chaos should not go unrecognized. Your generosity and kindness should not go unrecognized. Your support for a small business should not go unrecognized. You are appreciated by myself and the team. The team and I grew up together and have always wanted to pursue this dream. YOU have given us this opportunity and we hope that you know, we have not taken it for granted.

I want to wrap this up with some goals we have and some updates. Firstly, we are hoping that 2025 is when we have an official home for Apex. So we are actively navigating the market. Secondly, as many of you know, we are continuing our tick and mosquito applications. That being said, I am looking to staff this position full-time this coming season. In order to do so, we need enough clients. I had been working every weekend through the summer with the spray tech because we didn't have enough work to staff him full-time during the week. On average we are looking at $60 for traditional applications and $75 for organic. This service line allows us to also provide tree/shrub applications that are relatively infrequent. If you are interested, please let us know much in advanced so we can plan.

Lastly, it is winter time and call volume typically slows down. I want to make note that, we DO work all winter. Even though we keep our prices relatively low during the busy season, I have already decreased prices quite a bit the past month or so, just so we can get by. Although we have some winter work lined up, it's always a concern that we wont have enough. There are many benefits to doing tree work in the winter as far as pruning, having solid ground to work on, etc. Obviously the cost reduction being the biggest benefit. So if you would like to take advantage, please reach out to set up an appointment.
