I would like to take a minute and wish my baby girl a very special and happy 16th birthday 🎉. My kids are the reason I keep getting up and going every day and what drives me to do every job to the best of my ability. I can't believe how fast time goes. It seems like yesterday I was holding her in my arms for the first time. 16 years later and I'm still wrapped around her little finger. Happy birthday Brea Keyser. Keep being you and don't ever change, because you are perfect just the way you are. Daddy loves you so much. Happy birthday sissy!

I'd like to apologize to all my customers for the delays in getting all of your projects and construction needs done in a timely fashion. I am still trying to get my truck back on the road. Just finished a tile job today. We laid almost 200 sq ft of tile in a kitchen and dining area. We went with a brick pattern, laying it on a 90 degree half and half. We finished it off by making a custom threshold using a 1x2 oak slat for the transition from the living room into the kitchen, notching out the back to cap the tile and used an ogee router bit to give it a colonial look. We just added the finishing touches to the sign on the new shop. We took some scrap pole barn metal and repurposed it. It took a while to get the letters just right. I was going to post these pictures of the before and after a few weeks ago, but I have been catching up on work and trying to get my truck back on the road. I am beyond happy with the way my wife's new shop turned out. Also, I am privileged to have someone many friends and family that came together and helped us get the finishing touches and all the inventory hauled in and setup so fast. I still have a few things that need to be done, but I encourage all of you to come by and see how it looks and do a little shopping while you are there. It's the old Farmers store building across the road from mach 1 in Fairfield. Once the sign is on it will be easier to find. This is now the new and improved Rusty Star Consignments. Turning old boring ugly paneling into a nice smooth update drywall look. While my wife and I are busy doing that, my professional painter and his son are prepping the ceiling and trim for paint. Hopefully by this time Monday, we will be putting on the finish coat of paint. This is the old farmers store building that my wife is moving her consignment shop into. That means that it has to be perfect, because my wife knows what I am capable of, and she is my biggest critic, so flawless it shall be. It's pretty easy to be flawless, especially when the one you are doing it for is so worth it.

We had to jack up the middle of this home because the floors had a 2 inch sag all the way down. We installed a 2x10 2 ply beam and got the floors back to normal. It ended up cracking a lot of the drywall in the process. We chipped out the old mud, and retaped and finished the bad spots. We finished it off with new ceramic tile through the entry, hallway, furnace room, utility, and small bathroom. Now to put the trim and bathrooms back together.
