🇺🇸 In Honor and Remembrance

Today we pause and remember.

The freedoms we enjoy each day — the ability to raise families, build businesses, serve our communities, and pursue our dreams — came at a cost paid by brave men and women who gave everything for our country.

Today we honor those heroes and remember the families who continue carrying that sacrifice.

From all of us at Mammoth Electric, thank you to the fallen and to the families whose lives were forever changed. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

May we live and serve our communities in a way that honors the legacy they left behind.

🙏 Mammoth Electric honors our heroes today and always.

The Why Behind Mammoth Electric 🧡
People ask me all the time — how did you come up with the name “Mammoth Electric”?
I could’ve slapped my last name on the door and called it a day. But this company means too much to me for that. I wanted the name to mean something. I wanted it to feel like home — to feel like Nebraska.
So I went digging. I started learning everything I could about this state — our birds, our flowers, our culture, the people who built this place. And that’s when I found it: the mammoth is Nebraska’s state fossil.
And something clicked.
After 27 years in this trade, I’ve watched the landscape change. Craftsmanship, real care, doing right by people — those things have started to feel like they’re going extinct. Just like the mammoth. The values I was raised on — quality, integrity, treating people the way you’d want to be treated — were slipping away in our industry.
I didn’t want to just run an electrical company. I wanted to revive something. To bring craftsmanship back. To remind people that the trades can still be a place where quality and character matter.
And then there’s the other thing about a mammoth — the size, the presence, the impact. That’s the kind of footprint I want this company to leave on our community and on every family and business we’re privileged to serve.
So that’s the why. That’s where the name came from.
Mammoth Electric isn’t just a business. It’s a promise — to do the work right, to treat you like family, and to leave this community better than we found it. ⚡

Giving Back & Inspiring the Next Generation
Here’s the part that means the most to me. 🧡
At Mammoth Electric, our mission goes beyond wiring and panels. It’s about giving back to the community that’s given us so much — and maybe, just maybe, inspiring the next generation of tradespeople along the way.
The kids watching us work today could be the electricians, business owners, and leaders of tomorrow. If we can show them what it looks like to do good work with integrity, treat people right, and build something meaningful — we’ve done our job.
Thank you, Atlanta. Thank you, NECA Emerge 2026. And thank YOU — our Mammoth family — for letting us serve you. ⚡

Here’s something I’m proud of: Mammoth Electric is only as good as the knowledge we bring and the relationships we build.
That’s exactly why I spent this week at NECA Emerge 2026 — to keep learning, to stay on the cutting edge, and to bring the best of our industry back home to our team and our customers.
When you hire us, you’re not just hiring an electrician. You’re hiring a team committed to being well-informed, well-trained, and ready to give you our absolute best. 🧡

One of the most powerful ideas from NECA Emerge 2026: safety has to have a “why.”
It’s not a checklist. It’s not a poster on the wall. It’s the reason we double-check every connection, every panel, every install — because behind every job is a family, a business, a life.
Our “why” at Mammoth Electric? You. Your kids doing homework at the kitchen table. Your team showing up to a workspace that just works. Your peace of mind. ⚡
That’s worth getting right every single time.

One theme kept coming up at NECA Emerge 2026: how we talk to people matters just as much as the work we do.
At Mammoth Electric, we’ve always believed our customers deserve to be treated with dignity, integrity, and respect — not talked down to, not rushed, not left in the dark. Hearing industry leaders echo that this week was a powerful reminder that we’re on the right path.
You should always know what’s happening in your home or business, why it matters, and what your options are. That’s the Mammoth way. 🧡

Just got back from NECA Emerge 2026 in Atlanta, and my heart is full. 🧡
As the owner of Mammoth Electric, I made the trip because I believe staying sharp isn’t optional — it’s a promise we make to every family and business who trusts us in their space.
I sat in on the Service & Maintenance track and every general session, soaking up everything I could bring home to our team and to YOU.
More to share this week. Stay tuned. ⚡

Spring weather is here—which means more time outside, more projects getting checked off, and more cords getting plugged in 🌱⚡

But after a Nebraska winter, your outdoor outlets might not be in the shape you think they are. Before you fire up the leaf blower or plug in the next backyard project, take a minute to check them over.

While you’re at it, do a quick walk around the house and check them all now—so when it’s time for summer fun (yes, even that giant water slide), you’re ready to go without any surprises.

A quick check now can save you from a real headache later—and keep those summer plans running smoothly. ☀️

Take a minute, run through the list, and set yourself up for a safe, stress-free season.

P.S. The outlet in this post could use a little 🦣 Mammoth Electric attention… can you spot why? Let us know in the comments 👇

⚡ Thinking About a Generator? Here’s the Honest Truth

We hear it every storm season:
“I wish we had a generator.”

If you’ve experienced:
❌ Freezers thawing
❌ Flooded basements
❌ No AC or heat
❌ Interruptions to farm operations

…a generator isn’t a luxury — it’s peace of mind.

Whether it’s a portable setup or a whole-home standby generator, there are options depending on your needs and budget.

The key? Don’t wait until the next outage to start thinking about it.

Mammoth Electric can walk you through what makes sense for your home, shop, or farm.

⛈️ Storm Season Is Around the Corner – Is Your Home Ready?

Spring and summer storms in Southeast Nebraska can roll in fast — bringing strong winds, lightning, and power outages with them.

Now is a great time to make sure your home’s electrical system is ready.

Here are a few things worth checking before storm season ramps up:

1. Electrical Panel Check
Make sure breakers aren’t tripping, everything is labeled, and there’s no overheating or corrosion.

2. Whole-Home Surge Protection
Protect appliances, HVAC systems, and electronics from lightning-related surges.

3. Sump Pump Test
Run it before you need it—especially if you’ve had water issues in the past. At Mammoth we prefer to have them plugged into a dedicated and alarming circuit so if the power goes out... you'll know.

4. Backup Power Plan
Generator (portable or standby) or at least a plan for outages. Also back up chargers for devices so you can reach out in the case of emergencies

5. Lighting Upgrades
In the case of an emergency, visibility and safety during storms and outages is huge. This goes for basements, storm shelters, or even your outdoor lighting if your shelter is outside of your home.

6. Critical Equipment on Dedicated Circuits
Identify and prioritize power for things like freezers, medical equipment, or farm operations.

7. Weather Radios + Flashlights Ready (with fresh batteries!)

8. Downed Trees or Power Lines
Watch for branches near service lines or your home that could cause damage in high winds. Get them trimmed if you're worried they could cause damage in a storm scenario. And always assume downed lines are LIVE - call Mammoth Electric!
