Career Day elementary school was a blast! Representing the Beauty Industry was an honor….. The Beauty Industry is a 60 million Dollar industry and is very underrated! Shout out to Robert for the invite. I enjoyed talking to K-5 about my journey in this industry and to my surprise they understood what the industry is about and most of them had relatives or friends in the industry. Let’s normalize giving recognition and promoting this career just as much as any other industry! After all we are licensed professionals. I remember a time when I didn’t even respect this industry and didn’t feel successful. Why? Because I was so worried about what others thought. I was worried about what others were saying in response to me saying that I owned and operated a salon. Until One day God sent his messenger to tell me that No matter where I lead you, YOU WILL BE GREAT! Embrace the journey!!!!🙌🏽💙 Now look at me out here representing and working with our youth! Be obedient to his will and let him have his way!🙏🏾.
