Little overhaul on this Hitachi 225. New bucket pins from and touched up the inside faces where the coupler was wearing into it. As well as where the pin rides on the front section. Line bored both coupler bores, thumb and the end of the stick. All new bushings and seals. Definitely a huge improvement to what it was before. Thanks to helping get this done a little faster.

Didn't get many pictures on this one but this Kubota 121 came in for some line boring work. We repaired the blade pivot, the center hitch, new bucket links, new coupler, new bushings and pins in H link. Tightened up the bucket ears to match the new coupler.
These minis, even when taken care of, wear out and depending the the rest of the machine its worth putting some money into them to keep them going.

Takeuchi mini excavator came in for a half rebuild the other week. We linebored the center pivot, end of stick, coupler and all new pins and bushings in those spots as well. It definitely turned into a little more of a project than I anticipated, but either way it all went back together good and customer was happy with it.

We signed up for the lighted parade this year. Big thanks to Arianne Heeringa, Hailey Marvin Rauch and my dad for the help with the lights. My apologies if you were at the 2nd half of the parade, minor electrical issuse and we lost all the colored lights on the service body. All in all it was a good time and most importantly Hailey loved it.
Also we were hoping to have the business name fully switched over to the new one for the parade, hence the reason it was announced as such, but for reasons out of my control it didn't quite happen. More on that later. Thanks

Starting off December with a replumbing job in the boiler room at the precast plant. Originally it was set up with 2 separate boilers, 1 to heat the prestressed deck and the other feeding hot water for batching. When the older boiler feeding the deck finally gave out, we were able to come in and plumb the pump and lines into the newer system and holding tank, all while be able to isolate the deck when needed. The newer Sioux boiler is more efficient anyway and has plenty of BTU to run both. Back up and running in time for all the bad weather coming our way.

Here is a full end of stick make we did over on this Hitachi 60. The main pin that runs through the end of the stick, coupler and thumb was wore pretty bad along with all the bores.
We got a new pin made, new bushings and seals for the stick and new bushings for the thumb. Typically the couplers don't have bushings in them so when they develop alot of play the only option is line boring. We linebored the coupler bores, cleaned up the underside of the wedge, built back up the outside of the bores where the bucket rides, cleaned up the faces and built them back up to get the correct width to match the end of the stick. Linebored the thumb and installed new bushings and reassembled the machine.
All of this makes a huge difference for the machine.
We also cut off and replaced rhe cutting edge on the front of the blade while we were there.
