Forestwerx

Good forestry starts with a love for the forest, for the land, and for the work.

This job is hard. Broken equipment, difficult weather, tight schedules, and unforgiving terrain can wear even the best of us down to our last nerve. But the mission stays with us, and our love for what we do keeps us moving forward.

We hold on for the beautiful days, the incredible views, and the satisfaction of a life well lived—working to protect the forests, mountains, and communities we call home.

Note: Our 2027 schedule is filling up quite a bit faster than we anticipated. If you have been entertaining the idea of having the Forestwerx team complete your large acreage forestry project in 2027, we ask that you please reach out to us now to start the evaluation and planning process.

Forestwerx was born as a mission-driven organization. From the outset, we understood the basics of what we wanted to accomplish—and why the work mattered. But it has taken six years of experience, growth, and reflection to truly whittle that dream down to its core.

Over the next several weeks and months, we are excited share some revolutionary steps we are taking as company. These investments will further expand our capabilities, strengthen our team, and allow us to better serve our community and clients—both large and small.

Before taking these steps, however, we needed to clearly define our True North: the principles that guide our decisions, shape our work, and hold us accountable to the communities and landscapes we serve.

Today is National Loggers Day—a day to recognize the skilled professionals who make this work possible. We couldn’t think of a more fitting occasion to share Forestwerx’s newly established Mission, Vision, and Values with our community.

While it may seem unique for a forestry company to call itself mission driven, these words reflect who we are, what we believe, and the company we are continuing to build.

We are incredibly proud to finally be able share them with the friends, neighbors, and clients who have supported us along the way . 💪🌲

Sometimes you just need a little help from a friend! A big thank you to our friends at Granite Heavy Haul for helping us mobilize our machinery to south park today! It’s not often we cross the continental divide, but when we do, it sure is nice to have it all move in one go!

Först USA

10/05/2026

Forestwerx has quietly become known as the crew you call when no one else can get the job done.

Our hand crew is currently back at work on one of those projects.

Remote access, steep terrain, and narrow trails had already caused three contractors to walk away from this 10-acre mitigation project, ultimately deeming it “impossible.” In a last-ditch effort, the landowner reached out to Forestwerx to see what we could do.

In the fall of 2025, we proved it could be done—successfully completing the first project phase using our Först USA XR8D spider-tracked chipper and an experienced hand crew built for difficult terrain.

The landowner was so impressed with our capabilities that they booked us a full year in advance to return and finish the remaining acreage this fall.

Now we’re back.

We’re thrilled to return to this beautiful property and honored to be trusted with helping protect it. Challenging access, steep terrain, and complicated projects don’t necessarily make a job impossible—they just require the right people, the right equipment, and the experience to put them together.

Large, technical, impactful.
That’s exactly the kind of work Forestwerx was built for.

🌲 Jefferson County landowners with 40+ acres — funding is now available to help address Mountain Pine Beetle.

Jefferson County has opened its Fall 2026 Mountain Pine Beetle Landowner Assistance Program, providing eligible private landowners with reimbursement of up to 50% of contractor costs, with a maximum award of $10,000, for the removal and treatment of green pine trees currently infested with live Mountain Pine Beetle.

This is an excellent opportunity for our larger-property owner clients to address active beetle infestations while reducing the cost of professional forestry work.

Forestwerx can help.

Our local forestry team specializes in multi-acre forest management and Mountain Pine Beetle mitigation throughout the Colorado foothills. With professional forestry and wildland fire expertise, specialized low-impact equipment, and the ability to work across larger and difficult-access properties, we can help landowners identify, remove, process, and manage infested material efficiently.

⚠️ A few important details:
• Properties must be 40 acres or larger
• Funding applies to currently infested green pine trees — not trees killed in previous seasons
• Eligible treatments include removal, chipping, mastication, debarking, and solar treatment
• Work cannot begin until your application has been approved
• Applications are due November 5, 2026, but funding is limited and may close early

If you own 40+ acres in Jefferson County and are dealing with Mountain Pine Beetle, now is the time to apply.
