Job Opportunity: Tree Crew Groundsman
We are looking for a hardworking, safety-conscious Groundsman to join our professional tree care team. If you enjoy working outdoors, physical challenges, and being part of a crew that transforms landscapes, we want to hear from you.
The Role
As a Groundsman, you are the backbone of our field operations. You will support our aerial lifts and climbing arborists by managing the "drop zone," ensuring the job site stays clean, efficient, and safe.
Key Responsibilities
Site Maintenance:
Assist in debris removal, raking, and blowing to ensure the property is cleaner than when we arrived.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate chainsaws, wood chippers, stump grinders, and blowers.
Rigging Support: Assist climbers by managing ropes, lowering limbs, and sending up necessary tools.
Safety Coordination:
Direct traffic and pedestrians around the work zone and strictly follow all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines.
Driving:
Transport equipment and trailers to and from job sites (Valid Driver’s License required).
Requirements
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, light rain).
Reliability:
Punctuality is non-negotiable; our crew depends on every member being ready at start time.
Team Mindset:
Strong communication skills and a "can-do" attitude.
Safety First:
A constant awareness of your surroundings and a commitment to industry safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, or construction.
Experience operating a wood chipper or skid steer.
CDL (Class A or B) is a major plus but not required.
