Recently we had a visitor that was a Custom Critical driver for FedEx. Since he sometimes had long waits in between deliveries, he set his van up to be able to sleep in if needed. So, he installed some creature comforts like air conditioning, computer, and TV. And, to operate these loads, he installed some solar panels and a lithium-ion battery on his van. So, he has no problem parking and operating his A/C without his engine running. Although we didn't install the entire system for him, we did install a new Outback MPPT charge controller to maximize the efficiency of the solar panels. We did want to share this application with everybody to see how well solar can work in mobile applications.
