Lawns are looking very different right now across the area. 🌱

Some are thick, green, and growing fast… while others are still a little slower or patchy.

A big part of that comes down to consistency.

Lawns that started weekly mowing earlier and have stayed on a regular schedule are further along. Those that delayed mowing or haven’t been as consistent are still catching up.

We’ve also had some rain, but most lawns still aren’t getting enough total water overall.

On top of that, the temperature swings have slowed consistent grass growth while allowing some w**ds to linger longer than usual.

The good news is — once we get steady warm temperatures, lawns will really start to take off.

Anyone else noticing how inconsistent lawns look right now? 🌱

Some Bermuda lawns are greening up nicely… while others still look patchy or slow coming out of dormancy.

A big reason is the temperature swings we’ve been having.

We’ll get a few warm days, then drop 20+ degrees — and that can slow things down. Bermuda really likes consistent warm soil temps before it fully takes off.

In the meantime, consistency helps — regular mowing and proper watering can go a long way in helping your lawn transition.

So if your lawn isn’t all the way green yet, you’re definitely not alone.
