If you have damp or wet spots in your home, DO NOT WAIT to deal with it. We opened up this wall as part of our routine process during preparation for a remodel and found the interior of this wall completely open to the outside elements, with rot extending 6 inches above the floor. This entire wall, door, and window will come down to be rebuilt now, with proper flashing, sheathing, house wrap and siding.
