🍄 A Little Soil Magic at The Training Spot 🌱
We had a mushroom friend pop up under our sign this week — always a good sign when you’re building soil the right way.
Inside this planter, we placed logs and woody material at the bottom before adding soil. This hugelkultur-style approach helps retain moisture, slowly breaks down to feed the soil, and reduces the need for frequent watering over time.
The mushroom is part of that process — fungi help decompose the wood and move nutrients through the soil, supporting healthier plants from the ground up.
We love seeing these small signs that a living soil system is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.
Locally grown. Dog approved. Soil nerd approved. 🐶🌿
