Unpopular HVAC opinion: a bigger system is not automatically a better system.
More capacity does not always mean more comfort. Oversized equipment can satisfy the thermostat too quickly, run in short bursts, and still leave temperature or humidity problems behind.
A good replacement conversation should look at the home itself—its size, insulation, windows, ductwork, layout, existing comfort concerns, and how the space is actually used.
The right answer comes from the house—not from simply choosing something bigger than what was there before.
