Catch us this afternoon at the Bay Area Farmer's Market!🍅
There’s something really interesting about the market this time of year.
We see fall starting to peek it’s way in every corner around our town… the mornings are a bit more crisp, the nights come in a little earlier and everything around here is getting a *touch* more pumpkin-y. (Technical term? Sure. We think so.) 🎃🌻
But for those of us not quite ready to let go of the warmer weather, we get about another week (or maybe two) to celebrate the summer spoils.
The harvests our local farmers have worked so hard on. The sweet treats and breads that have been perfected all season and are getting ready to transition to something more comforting. The summer flowers are in their last showcase… the honeys, still sweet from summer blooms. The handmade goods we’ll look forward to introducing again in the spring. The perennials still able to be planted before this frost starts creeping in.
Oh man, summer we will miss you. 🙌And if you’ve been waiting for your sign to *stock up*, this is probably it.
Our farmers will soon be taking their harvests back to their farm stands in anticipation of the winter squash already starting to sell. (because no one likes hauling pumpkins, let’s be real.) Summer tomatoes for canning are at their peak, with melons and peaches getting a bit smaller by the day. The sweet corn is on it's last kernel with the stalks turning to decor....It is time! 🌻🎃
And with this, an exciting next step for us this season. The fall season! You’ll see some items here + there throughout the market, as we all make this transition together. And prepare for all the local goodness soon to come!
LIVE MUSIC provided by Jeff Poirier at 2:30PM.
Delicious eats throughout.
We hope to see you today.
We hope you choose local.
Let’s celebrate the turning of the season together.
Let’s say goodbye to summer the fresh way.
Stock up on all them summer goodies!
And get ready for all things uh…. *pumpkiny*
