UCC recently completed a major underwater inspection at a North American commercial nuclear power plant, covering more than 600 feet of piping at depths approaching 160 feet. By combining experienced commercial divers with ROV technology, the team was able to inspect restricted areas, continue work during some weather-related diving delays, and reduce the amount of time divers needed to spend in the water. The integrated approach also allowed UCC to inspect additional underwater areas beyond the original scope.
The result? A more comprehensive inspection completed safely, ahead of schedule, and under budget.
