DJ's journey at Eleven Western Builders started with a LinkedIn job posting. Hired as a Superintendent, he started with a McDonald’s remodel and a ground-up Sprouts, quickly earning a reputation for safe, on-schedule delivery to plan, spec, and quality standards.
Some advice from DJ - plan ahead, communicate clearly, hold teams accountable, and build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and project teams.
As General Superintendent, DJ’s focus shifted from delivering his own projects to helping others deliver theirs. He’s involved from preconstruction through closeout, spotting issues early and finding practical solutions. He most enjoys mentoring Project Superintendents, sharing his lessons, and giving them the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead their own jobs.
DJ was born and raised in Pacifica, a small beach town just south of San Francisco, and now calls Elk Grove home. Outside of work, he’s all about outdoor adventure and enjoys wake surfing, e-biking, and single-track dirt biking. He unwinds by cruising on his Harley with his wife and spending plenty time with his dog, Bruski. DJ is also a big foodie, often found behind the grill or griddle, trying new recipes and bringing family and friends together over a great meal.
