In order to limit the chances of Covid 19 exposure, The Erie City Public Library has begun efforts to disinfect common areas of the library daily. We are currently disinfecting the computer keyboards, mouse, and tables with Clorox wipes as well as the front desk, the door handles, and other areas in the building.
We ask that if you have a cough, a fever or trouble breathing, that you do not come into the library. We would be happy to help you get items to make your time at home recovering easier. Just give us a call and we will get your desired items and check them out to you. If you have books to return, we will accept them in the book drop or you may still bring them into the library. All of these items will be wiped down with disinfecting wipes so that you won't be exposed to it on the things you check out and others won't be exposed to anything you may have.
We do not anticipate being closed at this time, but if that occurs, we still plan on being able to offer checkouts of books and movies. We may stop all gatherings.....Story Hour, Chair Exercises, Monday Movies etc if we have a diagnosed case in our county to assure safety for all community members.
In the meantime, please be safe, wash your hands, stay out of crowds and if you are feeling sick, stay home and keep everyone safer. Remember that everyone can catch this virus but people over the age of 60 are the most likely to be impacted by this disease.
