Charlie Kirk was a mild-mannered Christian family man who was brutally murdered while speaking in the public square.

His death was mocked and celebrated by thousands, if not tens of thousands, of seemingly ā€œnormalā€ people online. Doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, political leaders, and others we often hold to a higher standard sank to some of the lowest levels of humanity to express not only their contempt for him but also their satisfaction at his death.

And undoubtedly, many more celebrated privately among friends, coworkers, and spouses. Itā€™s unsettling to consider how many of the ā€œniceā€ people in our communities may have quietly raised a glass to the occasion.

They didnā€™t celebrate his death because he was uniquely evil. They celebrated it because he held beliefs shared by millions of ordinary Americans.

Charlie gave a voice to millions of people, challenged a generation to think, speak, and stand for their beliefs, and left an impact that will outlive the hatred directed at him.

Rest in peace, Charlie.

Fire protection or burglary protection? Which matters more in a safe?

The answer is usually both.

If a manufacturer is building a truly high-quality fire-rated safe, many of the same construction features that improve fire resistance also show up in their higher-security models.

We opened 24 safes after a wildfire, and one thing surprised us: how fi****ms were stored inside
the safe made a big difference.

Guns left exposed on shelves suffered more smoke, soot, and heat damage. Guns stored in cases-or even a cardboard box-often came through in much better condition.
