Took off the old siding on the house as it was recalled and replaced with Hardie Plank. Before adding new siding we had to sheath some parts of the home. Once sheathing was on we added Tyvek. When installing the siding we made sure to add flashing behind every butt joint, over all the brick, and over garages and trim on windows. Once siding was finished we caulked all edges to the trim and butt joints before we painted the home and soffits.

🏡 Why Exterior Foam Board Matters

Exterior foam board insulation is a game-changer for energy efficiency and long-term home protection. Installed on the outside of the framing, it helps create a continuous thermal barrier that reduces heat loss and air leaks.

✅ Benefits of exterior foam board:
• Improves overall energy efficiency
• Helps lower heating & cooling costs
• Reduces drafts and air leaks
• Adds an extra moisture barrier to help protect against condensation and mold issues
• Minimizes thermal bridging through wall studs
• Can improve indoor comfort year-round

A properly insulated exterior means a stronger, more efficient building envelope from the start.
