It is a Wacky Wednesday over here.

We are just like our customers!

We shoulda done it 6 years ago.
You know what they say, the plumbers house has leaky pipes.
The builder never quite gets their addition done. AND the insulation experts leave their attic for 6 years but today this changes.
We're working on retrofitting our own attic.
Sucked out 6000lbs of blown in cellulose and now going back with 8" open cell spray foam.
We will keep you updated on how this changes our energy bills.

Meet Cory — the OG of spray foam!

Cory grew up watching his dad and grandpa build, and started building alongside them at age 12. Twelve years later, after working as a framing crew leader and spending time in the office bidding contracts and learning the business side of construction, Cory saw an opportunity to bring spray foam insulation to northwest Oklahoma. Through many different iterations of the business, he finds himself 19 years later working mostly behind the scenes, building Kool Foam into northwest Oklahoma’s premier insulation company.

Cory has big dreams, and to make those dreams happen, he is grateful for every single person on his team. His passion and vision for changing the world one contractor at a time is the fire that built Kool Foam — and the same fire that continues to inspire everyone around him.

This is a great demonstration of the difference between fiberglass, spray foam, and cellulose showing no matter how much R value you have without a complete air seal you are going to have air moving through your attic into your living space. This display is a sealed environment with three seperate chambers. There is a small fan in the center of the chamber that blows air into the bottom of the three chambers which shows how air moves through the three types of insulation shown. This display shows how without an air seal insulation, is just like putting a thicker jacket on but leaving it unzipped.
