Everybody wants to know this and almost nobody online will just say it, so here are our real numbers.

At Bath Fitter of Colorado & Southern Wyoming, tub replacement starts around $9,800. Shower replacement runs $10,000–$12,000. A full conversion between tub and shower is $11,000–$14,000. Where you land depends on size, layout and what you pick for walls, doors and fixtures.

Colorado water is hard. Calcium and magnesium come out of solution when the water evaporates and leave a film on everything — glass, fixtures, grout.

Grout is the real problem. It's porous, so it absorbs mineral deposits and soap residue and holds them. You aren't cleaning a surface, you're cleaning a sponge. That's why it never comes all the way back.

Non-porous acrylic doesn't have anywhere to hold it. What's your worst hard-water spot — glass doors or grout lines?

A traditional bathroom remodel in Colorado & Southern Wyoming typically run two to six weeks. Demolition, dumpster, drywall, tile, grout, and a lot of showering at the neighbor's.

Ours is usually ONE DAY. Sometimes two if we're working with a HOA or permitting requirements. We measure your existing tub or shower, build your new one to those exact measurements, and install it — no demolition, no dumpster in the driveway, no week of dust.
