Fire and water are showing up together more and more in outdoor spaces, and when they’re designed with intention, the combination can completely transform a space.

Around pools especially, it’s not just about adding fire for the visual impact. The right ignition system, thoughtful placement, and reliable performance all matter when fire is being incorporated near water.

As outdoor living continues to evolve, we see fire around pools becoming a bigger part of the conversation, and it’s one we’re excited to keep pushing forward.

We just got back from ASLA 2026, and it was a great reminder that landscape architecture isn't about a "finished" space. It's a profession that continues to evolve. 🔥🌿

A few trends we kept seeing: cleaner, more minimalist outdoor spaces, lighting integrated directly into the design, larger gathering areas inspired by hospitality spaces, and a thoughtful mix of materials working together.

On the bigger-picture side, conversations centered around designing for a changing climate, planting for the long term, and transforming overlooked urban spaces into places people actually want to gather.

We're grateful to be part of an industry that's always looking ahead, and proud to see fire continuing to play a role in that design conversation.
