Plumerias by the Sea Our services are customized to meet our customers landscaping needs. We carry an extensive inventory of cultivars recognized by the Plumeria Society of America.

We supply landscape size plumeria trees and plants serving the communities of Cardiff, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Leucadia, Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe and Solana Beach. Located in North County San Diego in the coastal city of Encinitas, produces high quality Plumeria trees and plants for drought tolerant landscaping needs. Established in 2005, PBS carries an inventory in excess of 300 Plumeria trees and p

lants started from cuttings from Hawaii, Florida and Indonesia. Plumerias require almost no additional water during the winter months of December through April, Plumerias require only normal watering (2 days a week in pots) during summer months similar to succulents and other drought tolerant plants. Plumeria flowers come in a wide variety of colors and give a great tropical look to any garden. Often a large plumeria is the centerpiece of a landscaping project (Specimen)

PBS carries and inventory of specimen trees with excellent upright structure and full shaped canopies, ideal for the discriminating plumeria connoisseur. We carry in excess of 25 different cultivars that are fully adapted to Coastal Southern California. PBS uses a selection process that starts with a large number of cuttings then choosing only the healthiest plants to be potted up over time from those cuttings. Plants are then nurtured for several years in 7-gallon then 15-gallon nursery pots before addition to wooden tree boxes. Our selection of box trees range in age from 7 to 10 years with heights as high as 10 feet represent the best of the best in Plumerias. Many of the large trees have no branches missing. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff enjoys sharing information with other plumeria enthusiasts. PBS responds quickly to email and text messages as the preferred method of communication since most of the activity occurs outdoors away from the office. Freeway close and easy to find, visitors are welcome by appointment during the months of May through November. PBS is closed during the fall and winter.
