September is National Preparedness Month! 🚨
When an emergency happens, the best time to figure out what to do is before it happens.
A little preparation can make a huge difference when severe weather, flooding, a burst pipe, or another unexpected disaster hits your home.
Take a few minutes this month to:
💧 Know where your main water shutoff is and make sure everyone in the house knows how to use it.
🔥 Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
📄 Keep important documents and insurance information somewhere safe and accessible.
🔦 Put together an emergency kit with flashlights, batteries, medications, water, pet supplies, and chargers.
📸 Take updated photos or video of your home and belongings for insurance documentation.
📱 Save the numbers you’ll need before you’re standing in a flooded house trying to find them.
And if water does end up somewhere it shouldn’t be, Freedom Flood & Fire is available 24/7.
Being prepared doesn’t mean nothing will go wrong. It means you’re ready when it does.
