When the risk changes, the protection does too ⚠️
Electrical work can involve a range of hazards, and certain tasks require specialized personal protective equipment. The arc-rated PPE shown here is designed to provide protection from the thermal energy produced during an electrical arc-flash event.
This particular gear carries a 65 cal/cm² arc rating — but PPE is only one part of working safely.
Before the work begins, the hazards must be evaluated, the proper procedures established, and the appropriate level of protection selected for the task at hand.
At John Mills Electric, safety isn’t something added once the work starts. It’s part of the planning from the beginning -
⚡ Identify the hazard
⚡ De-energize, verify & lockout/tagout whenever possible
⚡ Wear the appropriate protection
⚡ Do the job safely
