Some days, being self-employed feels like freedom. Other days, it feels like carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders.
The phone never stops ringing. The bills keep coming. Payroll has to be met. Customers need answers. Equipment breaks. Jobs get delayed. And no matter how much I accomplish, there’s always something else demanding my attention.
People see the finished projects, the trucks, the growth, and what looks like success. What they don’t see are the sleepless nights, the stress, the risks, and the constant pressure that comes with being responsible for everything.
There are days when I honestly ask myself, “Is it even worth it anymore?”
Then I remember why I started. I remember the people depending on me, the customers who trust me, and the dream I built from the ground up. Some days it’s hard to see the bigger picture through all the stress, but I know quitting would mean walking away from everything I’ve worked so hard to build.
Being self-employed has taught me that success isn’t just about making money. It’s about perseverance. It’s about showing up when you’re exhausted, solving problems nobody else sees, and continuing to push forward when giving up would be easier.
