Meet James!
James has been a valued part of our team since November 2022, working on our commercial field division. From day one he has brought an incredible work ethic, positive attitude and a wealth of knowledge to the job.

“I’m James. I’m a commercial electrician. I started in the field in 2014. I got my journeyman license in 2018 and my contractors in 2021. I have an amazing wife of 9 years who actually also works with me. We have 3 children who are growing up too quickly. I spend most of time either with my family or working on my house.” - James

Meet Eric!
Eric has been a valued part of our team since April 2024, and we’re proud to recognize the hard work and dedication he brings every day.
He’s always reliable, willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed and consistently gets the jobs done.

“Hello, my my name is Eric. I started at Gateway in April of 2024. Before getting hired on I was a landscape project manager. Life changes and wanting a change of career gave me the push I needed to come over and take on new challenges. Since coming on I have taken on the underground side of the company. I get to play in the dirt everyday just like when I was a kid!

When I’m not working, I spend my time with family and friends. My wife Sara, my sons Brantley and Jesse, and the dogs are the most important people in my life! We love going camping and going on side by side trips. Everyday is a new adventure and we just keep exploring.” - Eric

We’d like to introduce Brody, one of our dedicated service technicians who has been part of our team since May 2023.

“I started my career in early 2022 and have come to enjoy the challenges and opportunities electrical work has given me. I earned my wireman’s license last year and plan on testing for my journeyman’s as soon as possible.

The majority of my time has been in service work including residential, remodels, and some commercial work. It’s very rewarding when homeowners compliment us on our work and always appreciate our cleanliness. I like working with our apprentices and showing them how to be efficient and do the job correctly. I have a lot to learn myself, but have found that teaching what I know reinforces my knowledge of the trade.

Outside of work, it’s all about family. My wife, Megan, our daughter, Collins, and our dog, Boone, are my motivation. Our daughter turned one last month, and she brings all of us so much joy! We typically spend our time going on walks, enjoying family outings, and spending time with family and friends.

I sincerely appreciate working for Gateway and I am excited to see how our service department will grow. If you need us, we’ll be in an attic or crawl space somewhere!” - Brody

Meet Jonny! Jonny is one of the leads on our rough-in team and has been a key part of what we do since 2021.

“Hi I’m Jonny and I’ve been at Gateway for about 4 years now. I started my electrical journey in 2018. At Gateway, I spend the majority of my time working on the rough in stage on new homes.

I’m originally from West Point, NE but moved to Omaha 12 years ago where I met my wife, Andrea. We just had our first daughter in January, Chloe. In my free time, I enjoy golfing, watching Husker sports and the Kansas City Chiefs. I also enjoy spending time with family and our dog, Eddie.

I’ve really enjoyed being part of the Gateway team and getting to know everyone at the company, as well as the builders. I’m excited to keep expanding my electrical knowledge and continuing to grow as an electrician.” - Jonny.
