Something we always tell our clients: finish the remodel, then if your unsure on how you want to style the room, it’s ok to take time to sit with it and see how you actually use the space. Don’t rush the finishes. Our personal dining room is the perfect example of this. However this $300 table was only supposed to hang with us for 1 year, not 8. Ha!

So here’s how we’re evolving this space: we rarely do formal sit-down dinners here, so we’re transforming it into a lounge-style area where we can eat, play cards, build Legos, hold team pow-wows, work, and gather in many ways.

Time to pick the actual selections… stay tuned!

Solving marriage problems, one hose at a time. HA! Jamie would come outside and the hose would be stretched across the yard exactly where I left it “for later” which we both knew meant never. 😅

We got the Hoselink retractable hose years ago and honestly it’s become one of those random home upgrades I rave about way more than expected. It mounts right to a post, pulls out super easily when you need it, then retracts back on its own when you’re done. No dragging it back. No wrestling with kinks. No giant hose snake across the lawn for three days.
