Why would you want a composite deck vs. a wood deck?

These pictures are of our favorite supplier TimberTech, composite decking material samples vs. treated wood samples.

The bottom of each picture is after six months of outdoor weathering, and the top has not been outdoors.

As you can see, the composite decking still looks brand new, while the wood samples are clearly faded from their original color.

So the question for you is... Would you want to have your investment fade in just 6 months, or would you want your investment to look brand new?
Composite decks are super low maintenance, mildew-resistant, and needs zero staining or painting. And it lasts 25-30+ years, compared to the typical 10-15 years you’d get from wood!
