Hey everyone!

Earlier this week, we shared a few pictures of a sod installation we completed a few weeks ago. We were surprised and grateful to see how much attention the post received, but we also realized that the photos didn’t tell the whole story. We feel that an explanation is warranted.

The brown appearance in some areas of the sod was due to dormancy caused by the heat we experienced the week prior to installation. We received the sod from our vendor the day before installation, thoroughly prepared the site by removing rocks and stones, conditioned the soil, and then installed the sod.

A sprinkler system has also been in place and watering the sod since installation.

Looking back, we realize we should have included before-and-after photos to provide better context for the work that was completed. Unfortunately, we did not take those photos at the time. We will be sharing updated pictures of the sod in the coming days so everyone can see its progress.
