What goes into pricing tree work?

Most homeowners receive several quotes before committing to one for their tree work. We get asked why the pricing may vary between companies. Each company is operated differently, having different staff and equipment.

What goes into our pricing:
We have a daily goal we need to meet to ensure our employees, debt and business expenses are covered. This base number varies per company. Each company has a different number of employees all at different wages. Then each company has different equipment and vehicles that need fuel, and maintenence. The amount of equipment and what it is can affect the price with how quickly the crew can get the job completed.

Some main things that affects pricing include how long the job will take, what equipment and staff is needed, and the safety risks.

All of this is taken into account plus our years of knowledge and experience. We are not considered a cheap company, but you get what you pay for. We have the equipment, staff, insurance, and knowledge to get the job completed.

Next time you get an estimate from any company, tree work or not, take all of this into consideration and know what you are paying for.

Our phone is on 24/7 for any emergencies. If you get our voicemail, leave a message, we check them as much as we can.

While Eric was out on a storm damage job, I received a text requesting an estimate for another storm damage job. Just so happened they were only 4 minutes away from the job Eric was on. Once Eric finished up he was able to swing over and take care of all the safety concerns that the storm created.

We love it when it works out that way.

Our crew has been hard at work getting a local favorite amusement park cleaned up and ready to open for the season. We have been removing any safety risks throughout the park, this includes broken/dead branches, and dying/dead trees. We trimmed and elevated several trees for buildings, rides, and walkways.

This particular tree was starting to become a safety issue to the ride and had to be removed.

Last weekend, our owner, one of our crew members, and I spent the weekend working on a large project to help catch up our schedule. The job involved removing several trees along a roadway to prepare for a new powerline installation.

In this industry some scheduling delays are unavoidable. Emergency work, storm damage, and changes to contract schedules can occasionally impact planned timelines. However, we do care that our clients are waiting and we do what we can to catch up when that happens. We do everything we can to minimize delays, even if that means sacrificing a weekend off.
