This piece shows that we can sometimes overlook the simplest parts of God’s creation. A frog might not be the first thing we think of when we think about something beautiful, but God created it too. Every little detail, every color, every weird little feature was still something He chose to make.

That’s what I love about this piece. It’s just a frog, but it’s also a reminder that nothing God created is meaningless or accidental.

This is part of my Creation Series, along with my bird, turtle, and deer. Each piece has made me stop and look a little closer at the things God created that I might normally overlook.

But this frog also starts something new for me. It is the first piece in my series on the Ten Plagues of Egypt.

The plagues are such a powerful and honestly intense part of Scripture. I don’t want to paint them in a way that only focuses on the destruction and judgment. I want to capture the power behind the story. I want someone to look at these paintings and be drawn in by what they see, and then realize there is a much deeper story underneath it.

Because before this frog represented a plague, it was God’s creation.

And I think that makes this piece even more meaningful. Something so small and ordinary can become part of a story that shows just how powerful God is.

Created by God. Used by God. Part of a story much bigger than itself.

This is the piece I got inspired to do this morning during service!

This piece is about spiritual perspective and how different things can look depending on where you are standing.

The snake represents the enemy. In the air, the snake is vulnerable because it was never made to be there. It doesn’t have the same power it has on the ground. The dove represents the Holy Spirit. In the air, the dove is where it belongs and has the freedom to move, but when it comes down to the ground, it becomes more vulnerable.

To me, this is a picture of how spiritual battles work. The enemy can look powerful when we look at things from an earthly perspective, but that doesn’t mean he actually has the power we think he does.

Then there is the fire. The fire represents God’s presence and His power surrounding the whole thing. This isn’t just a battle between a dove and a snake. There is something happening spiritually that we can’t always see with our natural eyes.

Sometimes we give the enemy more power than he actually has because we are looking at the battle from the wrong perspective. But when you step back and see it spiritually, you realize that his power is limited.

The enemy might have power in certain places, but he does not have power everywhere. And he definitely does not have the final say.

My newest piece

A bit different then my typical art pieces!

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.” — Psalm 42:1

This painting is based on one of my favorite verses in Psalms. When I think about a deer searching for water, I think about how desperately we need God. A deer doesn’t go to the water because it’s just something nice to have. It goes because it needs it.

I think sometimes we forget that we need God just as desperately. We try to find satisfaction in so many different things, but nothing can truly fill the place that only God can fill.

I wanted this painting to capture that moment of the deer coming to the water, but also to represent us coming back to God. No matter how far we’ve wandered or how empty we feel, He is still there, ready to refresh us.

My prayer is that my heart would always long for God like this deer longs for water. That I would never become so comfortable or distracted that I stop seeking Him.

This is the piece I got today during service! This one I love so much! While it may be more simpler it’s so powerful!

“The fire of encounter” original ink drawing!

❤️‍🔥 “Did not our hearts burn within us?” — Luke 24:32

I wanted this piece to represent what it looks like when our hearts are completely consumed by God. Not just a little spark, not just a moment where we feel close to Him, but a heart that has been set on fire by His presence.

The heart is literally burning because I believe God is after our hearts. He doesn’t just want our Sunday mornings or our words or the things we can give Him. He wants all of us. A heart surrendered completely to Him.

The blood falling from the heart represents the cost of surrender and points us back to the Lamb, Jesus, who gave everything for us. The Lamb beneath the heart is a reminder that the fire burning within us is only possible because of the sacrifice He already made. And the dove above represents the Holy Spirit—the One who sets our hearts ablaze and continues to lead us deeper into Christ.

There are seasons where we wonder if God is really there. Seasons where our faith feels quiet and the fire feels like it’s dying. But sometimes all it takes is one moment in His presence, one word from His Word, one encounter with Him—and suddenly something inside of us starts burning again.

That is the kind of heart I want.

A heart that burns for Jesus.
A heart that can’t stay quiet about Him.
A heart that has been completely surrendered to Him.
A heart that burns so brightly that others can’t help but see the One who set it on fire.

Every time I open my Bible, I notice something new.

I started realizing that the animals in Scripture aren’t just there because they’re part of creation. God intentionally uses them to reveal His heart, His promises, His warnings, His power, and ultimately His plan of redemption.

The serpent, the lamb, the lion, the dove, the eagle, the donkey, the fish, the whale, the ram, the raven, the rooster, the deer… every one of them tells part of a much bigger story.

A story that has always pointed to Jesus.

That’s why the Lamb is at the center of this piece. Because He is at the center of everything. Before the foundation of the world, God already had a plan. Throughout the entire Bible, He leaves reminders of that plan, and even creation itself echoes the Gospel.

This drawing isn’t simply about animals.

It’s about a Creator who has been revealing Himself since the beginning of time.

It’s about a God who speaks through His creation.

It’s about a Savior who stepped into His own creation so we could be redeemed.

The more I study Scripture, the more I’m left in awe that nothing God does is random. Every detail has purpose. Every page points somewhere. Every symbol leads to Christ.

All of creation has always been telling His story.

My prayer is that this piece causes people to look beyond the beauty of creation and see the beauty of the One who made it—and gave His life to save it. 🤍

Ezekiel 1 has always blown my mind. God gave Ezekiel a glimpse into heaven and showed him His throne, the living creatures with the faces of a man, lion, ox, and eagle, and the wheels covered with eyes moving wherever the Spirit led them. It’s one of the most powerful and mysterious visions in the Bible.

I didn’t draw this to make it make sense—I drew it because it reminds me that God is so much bigger than we can understand. The same God who revealed His glory to Ezekiel is still on the throne today. My prayer is that this piece doesn’t just make people stop and look, but that it makes them want to open their Bible and see His glory for themselves.

“Breath of Life”
Inspired by Ezekiel 37

This piece was inspired by the vision God gave Ezekiel in the Valley of Dry Bones. I got this image Saturday night at 4-d while drawing another drawing listening to Evangelist Patrick Stanley. At first glance, it tells the story of scattered bones, a grave, and the breath of God bringing life where death had ruled. But this isn’t just Ezekiel’s story—it’s ours.

We all have dry places. Dead dreams. Broken relationships. Hidden wounds. Depression. Anxiety. Sickness. Shame. Addiction. Hope that has been buried so long it seems impossible for it to live again.

Yet in Ezekiel 37, God asks a question that echoes through every generation:

“Son of man, can these bones live?”

Then God commands Ezekiel, “Prophesy.”

Not because Ezekiel had the power to raise the dead, but because the Word of God carries life. As Ezekiel obeyed, the bones came together, flesh covered them, but they still had no life until God said:

“Prophesy to the breath… Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” (Ezekiel 37:9)

It wasn’t human effort that raised the dead—it was the breath of God.

The breath that formed Adam from the dust is the same breath that fills empty hearts today. The same Spirit that brought life to dry bones still breathes hope into hopeless situations.

Maybe your dry bones aren’t physical. Maybe they’re the parts of your life you’ve already buried. The dreams you’ve given up on. The faith that feels exhausted. The relationships you thought were beyond repair. The sickness that seems to have the final word.

But the grave is never too deep for the breath of God.

This drawing is a reminder that Jesus still stands over every valley and every grave, calling life from death. When God breathes, chains break, graves lose their power, and what was once impossible becomes a testimony.



So prophesy. Speak life over what looks dead. Believe again. The same God who raised dry bones is still breathing life today.
