Wind storm took down a cedar fence on a property I manage resulting in 7 broken posts.

Called Ismael Torres at Direct Fence in Elgin and they did a great job removing the old posts and concrete and setting new posts in concrete.

I was able to provide a cost effective solution for the HOA by utilizing a professional fence contractor for post removal and installation saving time and costs and the ability to reuse-rehang the old fence panels.

HOA property management prevention.

Condo property was having an issue with vehicles backing into electrical meter boxes. The repair is in the thousands for the condo owner depending on the damage. HOA property management company went ahead with a preventative measure that was much cheaper to protect all the meter boxes.

After several previous repairs failed, it was time to begin anew.

Removed and replaced strike side jamb.

Cut out broken jamb, shimmed, glued and screwed in new strike side jamb piece, reinstalled strike plate and door trim.

This is another A-HA moment realization.

This customer called because one of my great uncles was her carpenter, but passed away. She knew she could trust me since he was a good carpenter and figured I was too. She is also the original builder/owner of this home. It’s something when the original owner/builder trusts you to start completing maintenance/repairs on their home.

Cedar siding had some boards that had opened up and not all could be pulled back tight. Screwed back what could be and ran a bead caulk on others to keep the weather on the outside where it belongs.

Thank you to the previous two generations ahead of me and thank you for the confidence and trust.
