Look at this beautiful antique sofa! After scouring many photos of antique and vintage sofas this customer wanted to change the look a little. She chose a single cushion for the seat and opted for French natural nailheads instead of double cord. Paired with a heavy blue velvet, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Every year cushions pile up around the shop. They usually start coming in around February but at the first hint of warm weather you can be assured that I have one or 2 stacks waiting to be finished. Here are some of the ones completed and delivered over the past few weeks. I still have 2 sets waiting in the wings.

It’s always a good feeling when the customer sends you a picture of your finished work and lets you know how much they are enjoying it.

I decided to pull out the laser on this one to make sure I got everything straight. The customer also requested additional padding on the inside back so I added a soft piece of 3” foam. This made a huge difference in how the sofa sat and for a shorter customer he can now sit comfortably against the back. 2 custom cushions with tassle trim finished the look.

When the vinyl begins to peel, it’s time to reupholster. This living room set was showing some wear and tear in the vinyl and the color wasn’t doing any justice to room. This light blue Crypton fabric will look amazing with the freshly painted walls in this room. 12 complementary throw pillows finished the look and the side char was covered in this same fabric.

Have your cushion springs sprung? I get asked weekly if I can fix or change out cushion inserts. In this case it’s older leather furniture where the marshal unit has broken, causing the springs to shift out of place. Other times it might be worn out foam cores or the just the need for a firmer cushions so you can stand up easier. Whatever the reason, I can help. Just give me a call. There’s no need to use the good towels to even the lumps out. Let’s do it the correct way.

This red plaid was showing worn areas and was ready for a face lift. The new light green fabric is fresh and relaxing, making a nice addition to the sunroom. This chair also received new padding in the arms and a new seat cushion.
