Before starting a home renovation, ask yourself: “What life do I want this home to support?”
Think about how your family uses the home today—and what is missing. Does the kitchen work well with the family room? Do you need a dedicated office? Would a first-floor suite make life easier for an aging parent? Could a mudroom help organize your family’s daily routine?
These needs should come before choosing cabinetry, flooring, or other finishes. A clear list of priorities helps your design team understand which changes will make the greatest difference and which existing features are worth preserving.
