Red Tulip Designs LLC Professional cabinet finishing specialists offering paint & stain. Let me start by saying that I love to design and create. Without you we could never do this.

Our goal is to provide a durable & lasting finish with our thorough prep process and top of the line industrial water-based coatings that are safe to use in your home. I have a background in Interior Design and was a Design Consultant for several years. Life unfortunately pushed me in a different direction, and I had to go down a different path. Several years ago, I decided that I just wasn’t happy with where I was, so I started looking for ways to get back into design. While remodeling our Kitchen several years ago that little spark in my soul lit again. Painting was so much fun, and I was creating and designing again. For the past several years we have been refinishing furniture. My Husband Jeremy is my go-to for repairs and spraying finishes and we love working together. I kept getting requests to refinish kitchen and bathroom cabinets, so we decided it was time to expand our business and offer this valuable service. Our goal is to provide quality products, excellent and reliable service, and the expertise that you deserve. I know there are other painters out there that are cheaper than us, but we stand behind our work and know that you will be happy with the results. We use some of the best products on the market and we help you pick the perfect colors for you home with a design consultation that is included with every refinishing project. I know everyone loves the plug in oil diffusers, but they have some pretty nasty stuff in them and they can quickly damage your cabinets. We saw this on a kitchen we are currently working on but we have seen it on other kitchens and it is always bad. On one kitchen we pointed it out during a consultation and you could see the paint bubbling under the cabinet.

This kitchen was a lot of work and took a bit longer than expected but it was worth it. A previous painter used wall paint on the island, trim, and hood vent. It was gummy and had gloops and brush strokes everywhere. We had to do a lot of sanding and scraping to get things looking better which took several days. Main cabinets and trim are Centurion Wood Coatings 2800 tinted to BM Dove White. Island is 2800 tinted to SW Whirlpool. What is unique about this kitchen is our client decided to paint her ceiling the same color as the island. The room still feels big and open but helps ground everything.

It's Friday and we are still spraying.

We are usually finished with a typical kitchen by Thursay but this isn't your typical kitchen. So much detailed trim, pillars, ect all attached and unfortunately a previous painter used wall paint to paint and it was a soft gummy mess. In some areas it was like sanding an eraser. Most of this week has been tons of sanding and prep.

We have been doing a side project on top of all of our other projects and we are finally done!

We bought a house and moved to Yukon earlier this year and have been doing a lot of work to it. The one big thing we wanted to do was remodel the kitchen. It was dated and ugly and I had dreams of a new kitchen.

This was a total gut job. The original cabinets were built in so we got to smash them out piece by piece. We scraped ceilings, drywalled the old tray in the kitchen, new floors were installed, had to rip out drywall where the old backsplash was, installed new cabinets, had new countertops installed, new vented exhaust, new lighting, and we installed a beautiful tumbled marble in herringbone pattern which we are never doing again. 😅

Floors are MSI Danya Stream The Finishing Touch Design Center , counters are Calacatta Premata Artistic Interiors , cabinets are from Ultimate Cabinets and were finished in Centurion Wood Coatings 1111 and 2800 tinted to BM Pashmina.

We absolutely love our new kitchen. It is functional and we will get to enjoy it for many years. ❤️

We have been chatting with these client off and on for over a year while they worked on other areas of their kitchen like the backsplash and countertops. When they were ready to update their cabinets we were able to get them in the que and make it happen. Centurion Wood Coatings 1111 amd 2800 tinted to SW Smokey Azurite worked perfectly with the blues in their decor. New pulls completed this look and made their kitchen shine.

Not every painter is a cabinet finisher. Cabinet finishing takes skill and proper training, not everyone can just get in there and do it. You need proper coatings, prep, etc.

We are seeing too many kitchens where someone was hired to paint or stain the cabinets and the client is left with a nightmare that will cost them even more to fix. Remember to do your research before hiring and always ask for samples.

Our clients had hired someone to paint their cabinets a few years back and instantly regretted it. Gloops, runs, and sags everywhere, globs of caulk instead of crisp lines, and failing wall paint on the cabinets. They couldn't even touch the cabinets without paint failure. Our friends at Artistic Interiors referred us to them to properly update these cabinets and we absolutely love how this turned out. New doors and drawer faces were ordered and we sanded back the failing coating on the cabinet boxes. Centurion Wood Coatings is a proper cabinet paint that is designed to last so we used 1111 and 2800 matte tinted to SW Accessible Beige. With the new countertops and backsplash this kitchen looks brand new and our clients will have an updated kitchen to enjoy for many years.
