ZTEX Construction Inc.

ZTEX Construction Inc. ZTEX Construction, Inc. is a heavy civil contractor specializing in earthwork, asphalt paving, and overall project management. ZTEX Construction Inc.

was founded in 2006 by Richard "Dick" Ortiz. One of the first projects completed by ZTEX was the Outlet Shoppes of El Paso, also known as the Sun Valley Outlet Mall. This contract was more than $5M and ZTEX self-performed 90% of the work. What's more is ZTEX was the General Contractor for the civil construction portion of the project. Since then, ZTEX has been involved in many of the largest projects in west Texas and southern New Mexico. ZTEX has been involved in nearly all of the largest projects in West Texas and Southern New Mexico, demonstrating that General contractors and project owners alike highly desire the specialized skills and services that ZTEX brings to a project. Owning its own equipment, possessing an intimate knowledge of the terrain and keen project planning removes the need for internally generated change-orders and allows ZTEX to consistently meet its project time-lines and objectives. When you need a civil contractor, ZTEX is a partner to be relied upon.

Hard hats off to 20 years of building together!

We are officially celebrating our 20th anniversary, and we owe it all to you.
For two decades, we have been turning blueprints into reality. From our very first ground-breaking to the major projects we handle today, our mission has stayed the same: to build strong, safe, and lasting spaces for our community.

We are incredibly grateful to our hard-working crew, our trusted partners, and the amazing clients who put their trust in us. You are the foundation of our success. Here's to the next 20 years of building El Paso, one project at a time!
