West Nile Virus remains the leading cause of mosquito-borne disease in the continental United States, and cases typically peak in late August and early September.

About 80% of people infected with West Nile Virus show no symptoms, while approximately 20% develop symptoms such as fever, headache, body aches, joint pain, vomiting, diarrhea, or rash.

🏡 You can help reduce Mosquito activity around your Home by regularly emptying standing water from buckets, flowerpots, toys, gutters, birdbaths, and other containers. Using insect repellent and taking precautions against Mosquito bites are also important.

As summer begins winding down, Pest activity around homes can start changing too. The Pests that caused problems during the hottest part of summer aren’t necessarily the same ones we’ll be watching as temperatures begin to cool. 🕷️🐜🏠

This is a good time to pay attention to areas around the home that are easy to overlook. Garages, basements, utility areas, doors, windows, and other potential entry points can become increasingly important as we move toward fall. 🔍

They can hide inside Couches, Recliners, Upholstered Chairs, Nightstands, Baseboards, Curtains, Luggage, Backpacks, and even around Electrical Outlets. Any place where people sleep, rest, or leave their belongings can give Bed Bugs another place to hide. 🛋️🧳

That is what makes waiting so expensive. A problem that begins in one Room or one piece of Furniture can spread into other Rooms, Furniture, and personal belongings. The more areas involved, the larger and more complicated the treatment may become. 💰🔍

🚪 An interesting conversation took place yesterday when one of our technicians arrived at a customer’s home here in El Dorado Springs.

The customer asked, “Do you service anyone else in my neighborhood?”

When our technician explained that we currently do not, the customer shared that a door to door salesperson had recently stopped by. After learning that Integrity Pest Solutions handled the home’s pest control, the salesperson claimed that several neighbors were dissatisfied with our service and had made complaints.

There was just one problem…

We do not currently service anyone else in that neighborhood 😂

Competition is part of business, and every customer has the right to choose the company they trust. However, a sales pitch should be built on the quality of your own service, not stories about another company that simply do not add up.

Thankfully, this customer trusted his own experience and was not persuaded by the claim.

🐭 Today, we took over a rodent-control account that had previously been serviced by another pest-control company.

This was their solution.

A handful of snap traps were scattered along the wall with no apparent strategy, no correction of the underlying problem, and clearly no meaningful results. Honestly, the customer could have set these traps themselves and saved a lot of money.

Rodent control requires more than placing traps on the floor and collecting a payment. It requires a thorough inspection, identifying where rodents are entering, locating areas of activity, strategically placing control devices, and following through until the problem is resolved.

Anyone can set a mousetrap. We provide actual pest control, and we get results. 💪

Today, the Chamber of Commerce welcomed new teachers from our public and Christian schools during a luncheon hosted at El Dorado Springs Public Schools.

Each new teacher received a tote filled with gifts donated by members of our local business community. Integrity Pest Solutions was proud to contribute and help welcome these educators to El Dorado Springs. 📚🎁
