Found it! Customer had leak detection out to mark a leak on their main water line - problem is, the water line was sleeved inside ABS pipe under the walkway - so leak could be anywhere...
Little bit (a lot) of digging in that good ol Folsom river rock and we found her! Repaired the line & replaced the main service with a PRV & new shutoffs for the house & landscaping.

Slab leaks can go one of two ways…

A. Leak detection is right on the mark. Open up the slab, cut out the damaged section, repair, test, badaboom.

B. Leak detection is slightly off (since water travels). Open up the slab. open up the slab some more. chase the leak a few feet over. discover that the leak is actually a crushed section of pipe going through the concrete footing. chisel out the footing to find just enough good pipe to make your repair (otherwise you’re opening up the slab on the other side of the wall).

Yeaaahhhh.
