It is with much sadness that we announce the loss of one of our supervisors last night. He was loved by all. Ben Smith was an amazing person, father, husband and employee. He was kind, compassionate and loving. Everyone that crossed his path truly connected with him. Ben was surrounded by his family last night when they said good bye. He was in the hospital on life support for approximately 2 weeks. He was only 42 and he leaves behind a wife and 3 children. Clean Earth Restorations is a family-owned, San Diego-based restoration and construction company.

The admin assistant is responsible for providing direct administrative support to the department project managers, estimators, and department heads. Also, they will assist with answering phones (minimally) and directing calls to the proper department. This will include both the construction / repairs department and the HOA Maintenance department. This person also needs to be positive, responsible to a fault and weird is always a plus.

The person:
- 1+ years of experience as an administrative assistant a plus

- Proficient, and accurate typist

- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel,

-Support office staff and executives with clerical tasks (phones, filing, etc.)

- Plan and schedule meetings, presentations, send reminders regarding upcoming appointments

- Assist in managing job tracking / job files – ensure jobs have photos, notes, etc. in project management software.

- Answer phones in a professional manner and direct calls to appropriate persons or take detailed messages

- Referring and answering email

- Help prepare presentation materials

- Assist with payroll preparation for the department

- Job Costing material purchases for the department

- Review employee time clock software for accuracy

- Reconcile American Express material purchases

Plumbers
General service, repair, and maintenance. Single Family Homes, Commercial and Condo Associations (HOA), troubleshoot, assemble, install, or repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems, according to manufacturer specifications or California Plumbing Codes. Preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs, including drain cleaning, hydro-jetting. After Hours Emergency Repairs; water leaks, sewer back-ups.

Basic Skills

- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Typical On The Job Tasks:

- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.

- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.
Keep and update records of work assignments.

- Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.

- Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.
Maintain or repair plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.

- Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.

- Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines, such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines.

- Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.

- Anchor steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.
Estimate time, material, or labour costs for use in customer bids and project plans.

- Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.

- Inspect structures to assess material or equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, or to plan installation around obstructions, such as electrical wiring.

- Install green plumbing equipment, such as faucet flow restrictors, dual-flush or pressure-assisted flush toilets, or tankless hot water heaters.

- Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes or pipe fittings, using hand or power tools.

Clean Earth Restorations

Clean Earth Restorations is teaming up with fellow local businesses around the San Diego area for the upcoming, industry-wide, sock raising competition for local charities.

Throughout September (Socktember), teams from all over the US are participating to collect donations of new socks for local charities in need of them.

We will be putting a box in our front office to collect donations (NEW socks only).

There will be a raffle at the end of September to win a $50 Visa Gift Card. For every donation you bring in, you will get a ticket for the raffle, so the more you bring in the better your chances of winning!

Please bring the socks to the front office throughout the month of September and we will give you a raffle ticket.
