Our family recently traveled to Canada as our son Victor Mangano — one of the goaltenders for the U20 Team USA (USDHF) ball hockey team — competed in the World Ball & Dek Hockey Federation (WBDHF) World Cup 5v5 Tournament in Montreal, Quebec. I also had the privilege of helping coach this incredible group of athletes, which made the experience even more meaningful. Watching him stand in net at this level — facing fast, physical, international competition — was something I’ll never forget. This isn’t youth play; it’s high‑speed, high‑pressure, elite ball hockey, and these young men fought for every second on that court. They earned the gold medal, and we couldn’t be prouder. Their discipline, strategy, and teamwork showed exactly what happens when a group commits to pushing past limits and playing for each other. Huge congratulations to the entire USA U20 squad. Bringing home gold is a milestone our son — and all of us — will carry for a long time.
