If stress made me as pretty as it makes my Hoyas, I'd be unstoppable.

I know I’ve been talking a lot about PlantCon lately, but I haven’t forgotten about my local plant fam or my loyal shipping customers!

After PlantCon Dallas, I’ll be hosting a two day plant purge on October 29th & 30th! 🌿

With cooler weather approaching, we need to reorganize our shade house and start setting up the garage. That means clearing out quite a bit of inventory, and I’d much rather see these plants go to happy homes! I’m planning to price things as affordably as possible because my goal really is to move plants and make space.

Yalls continued support means so much to my little nursery, and I’m so grateful! Mark your calendars for October 29th & 30th! More details to come after PlantCon Dallas! 💚

Meet Curly Sue, aka the Curly Orchid Cactus (Epiphyllum guatemalense ‘Monstrose’)!

Despite being a cactus, she’s actually a tropical epiphyte. In the wild, these guys grow attached to trees rather than rooted in the ground. So don’t treat her like a desert cacti because this girl prefers bright, indirect light, an airy soil mix, and a little humidity.

And here’s another fun fact. Mature plants can produce beautiful, fragrant blooms that open at night!
I absolutely love finding plants that are just a little different from the ordinary, and this one definitely fits the bill.

What do we think, plant fam? Is Curly Sue making it onto your wishlist?

You guyssss, thank youuuuu!! 🥹💚 We gained a little over 50 new followers this weekend at PlantCon Houston, bringing us to 4,700!!

One of my biggest goals this year was to reach 5,000 followers, and we are slowly but surely chipping away at it. When we hit 5k, I’m planning a really nice giveaway to celebrate. So please keep liking, commenting, sharing, and telling your friends about your favorite crazy plant lady.

Now hear me out… what if we tried to hit 5k at PlantCon Dallas?! I’m thinking about making a big goal tracker sign for my booth and coloring it in every time someone new follows us. Can we gain 300 planty friends in Dallas and kick off our 5k giveaway afterward?! I kinda wanna try!!!

PC HTX DAY 2 !!!

You know what my absolute favorite part of this weekend was? Seeing and hearing all the sweet little moments happening around me.

And yes, I was dropping eaves, okkkkk???

“I’m so freaking happy right now!”
“Babe, thank you so much!” 💋 💋
“Oh my gosh, I found my wishlist plant!”
“Look at this one!!”

The excitement, the happy dances, the couples shopping together, friends hyping each other up over plants, little kids coming up to my booth with the biggest curiosity and excitement, and families spending the day exploring together.

For some people, it’s just a plant. But for us? It’s a hobby, a passion, a community, something we get to share with our friends, our partners, and even the next generation of little plant lovers.

For all those that came out thank you for sharing your weekend with us crazy plant people. Whether you shopped with me, stopped to chat, brought your little ones by, took a selfie, or just wandered through admiring everything, I’m so grateful we got to be a little part of your weekend.

Dallas, you’re next!!! 🌿💚

Okay, my friends, I think I found a way to make everybody happy.

We’ve been trying to hit 5,000 followers for what feels like FOREVER, and I know everybody loves a good deal… so how about we help each other out? If you’re shopping with us at PlantCon today and ask if we’re running any sales here it is….. to get a 5% discount 👇

🌱 Follow us! New or existing followers, just show me you’re following one of our social media pages.

📸 Take a selfie! Stop by our selfie mirror at booth H7, snap a picture, post it to your socials, and show me.

That’s it! A little love for my small business, a little savings for you, and hopefully we can get Scenic Root a little closer to that 5K milestone. Come see us at booth H7.
