Ready to enjoy your front yard landscaping? This client was unhappy with the landscaping at their new home in Oklahoma City and wanted to reimagine the space. They came to Havenscapes to get some help bringing the space back to life and making it their own.

We planted a variety of flowering shrubs and perennials that will attract pollinators as well as the attention of the neighbors!! Catmint, Shasta daisies, salvia and Russian sage all come together to form a beautiful purple and pink color palette 🎨 that will really take off next year giving plenty of color and excitement to the space. In the shadier areas of the yard we implemented hydrangeas and hostas for a pop of color and white dramatic flowers. What a beautiful day to plant some privacy trees! 🌲

Juniper trees are an evergreen and they come in all shapes and sizes! Some junipers are tall and narrow for a more elegant look, while others are wider! Some varieties even have a blue hue to them for a colorful design!

These trees can be planted closer together to create a privacy screen between properties, to block neighboring developments or to act as a wind break. And since they are evergreen they won’t die back every winter!! ❄️ Staking trees is vital in the first year to keep them stable in heavy wind storms.

If you are interested in creating privacy at your home or greening up your fence line give us a call today and set up a consultation today!

🍃Check out this major landscaping upgrade in Oklahoma City, OK!

This client was looking for a unique and full privacy screening that compliments their existing landscape and still feels interactive. We were able to use tall Evergreen Taylor, Juniper‘s in a unique layout to block views of the Neighbor, but also act as a backdrop to the raised bed and fountain.

Mass planting and a simple plant selection will keep things, elegant and timeless. Cedar mulch helps to protect the new planting while maintaining healthy, moisture levels and overtime breaks down to provide nutrients to the plants! In this design, stone edging and a Flagstone pathway help create connectivity between the patio and lawn while also creating a meandering contemplative walking path.

Night lighting keeps the backyard feeling warm and welcoming even in the dark! Lighting is the element that takes any design from great to amazing! See how lighting can change your space here: Havenscapes Lighting

🌿 From drainage problems to a beautiful backyard transformation!

This Edmond, Oklahoma, landscape project combined beauty and function to create a more enjoyable outdoor space for the homeowners.

We started by creating new landscape beds designed for both full-sun and shaded plantings, giving us the opportunity to incorporate a variety of plants throughout the yard. Natural stone edging was added to define the beds and give the landscape a clean, finished look.

One of the biggest challenges was backyard drainage. Rather than allowing drainage areas to become an eyesore, we incorporated decorative drainage rock as an attractive and functional solution. The result is a drainage feature that blends naturally into the overall landscape design.

Fresh cedar mulch completed the planting beds, while strategically placed landscape lighting brings the project to life after sunset. The lighting highlights the plantings, stonework, and landscape features while adding warmth and ambiance to the backyard.

The finished project is a great example of how thoughtful landscape design, drainage solutions, stone edging, mulch, and outdoor lighting can work together to transform a backyard.
