I used to follow Dad and Grandad on their Phoenix job sites from the time I was able to hold a hammer. At 14 years of age, I hired on as a laborer with a frame and trim subcontractor. 3 days later, my employer told me to bring my nail bags and take my place with the framing crew. At 20 years of age, I moved to Sacramento to partner with my uncle in building spec homes. I passed the rigorous tests

and experience requirements and obtained California’s General Contractor License at age 21. I have experienced more than 47 years in building and finance: 24 years in building, land development, and real estate; 23 years in retail and wholesale mortgage lending.
